Takeyla Sims, a 34-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on March 1, 2020, in a shooting incident in the Chatham neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 6:40 a.m. in the 8300 block of South LaSalle Street. According to reports, a physical altercation involving multiple individuals escalated into a deadly confrontation.
