Darius Lane Jr., a 16-year-old African American male, was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting on March 28, 2020, in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. when someone in a passing silver BMW fired multiple shots at him while he was on Maypole Avenue. Darius was hit in the upper body and neck and was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed that his death was a homicide.
