Jerome Mazutis, a 26-year-old man, was fatally shot on May 11, 2020, in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. He was in the back seat of a vehicle when a male suspect on foot shot him in the back. The incident occurred around 8:10 p.m. in the 3300 block of South Lituanica Avenue. Jerome was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed that he died from a gunshot wound to the back and ruled his death a homicide.
