Keishana C. Currie, a 34-year-old African American woman from Peoria, Illinois, tragically lost her life on May 24, 2020. She was found unresponsive in the passenger side of a car in a driveway on West Loucks Avenue. The initial discovery was made by her roommate, who noticed Keishana bleeding heavily and immediately called 911. Despite the prompt response, Keishana was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy later revealed that she had been shot in the face.
