Elliot Jones, a 21-year-old male from Gurnee, IL, was fatally shot on May 29, 2020, during a drug deal that turned into a robbery. The incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. in the 36900 block of North Grandwood Drive in unincorporated Gurnee. Jones was found with at least one gunshot wound to his body in front of his residence. He was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he was later pronounced dead.
