Ozell Sampson Jr., a 50-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 18, 2017, in Gurnee, Illinois. The incident was a result of a domestic altercation that escalated into a murder-suicide. According to reports, the Gurnee Police Department responded to a call at approximately 5:31 p.m. on that fateful day, finding both Ozell Sampson Jr. and his 30-year-old stepson, Tony Butler Jr., deceased at the scene.
