Cedric Smith, a 27-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 18, 2020, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. Around 8:35 p.m., Cedric Smith and another man were in the 7700 block of South Sangamon Street when an unknown assailant opened fire.
