On August 25, 2020, Lonnie P. Evans III, a 20-year-old African American male from Sauk Village, Illinois, tragically lost his life. The incident occurred in the 2400 block of Talandis Drive, where Lonnie and two other individuals were shot outside a residence. Lonnie succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the other two victims were transported to Franciscan Dyer with unknown statuses at the time.
