Demarlon Simpkins, a 30-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on October 7, 2020, in the Grand Crossing neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. when officers responded to calls of a person shot in the 1400 block of East 67th Place. Upon arrival, they found Simpkins with a gunshot wound to his chest.
