Kent Mitchell, a 42-year-old man from Rogers Park, Chicago, was fatally shot on October 17, 2020. He was outside in the 1500 block of South Millard Avenue when a group of people approached and opened fire, striking him in the neck and chest. Mitchell was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:27 p.m. An autopsy conducted the following day ruled his death a homicide.
