Daryl Hampton, a 31-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on October 24, 2020, in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 10:10 p.m. while Hampton was sitting in a vehicle in the 900 block of North Lawndale Avenue. According to reports, a gray-colored vehicle approached, and an unknown assailant fired multiple shots, striking Hampton in the chest and leg. He was immediately transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
