Hassan Sampson, a 23-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on November 23, 2020, in Belleville, Illinois. The incident occurred at the Sav-On Liquor and Wine and BP station on Carlyle Avenue. According to reports, Sampson was with two other individuals when they approached Devan Hill, also 23, in the parking lot. Hill, who claimed self-defense, fired a shot that struck Sampson.
