Timothy Dale Swope Jr., a 36-year-old African American male from Springfield, Illinois, tragically lost his life on February 25, 2021. He was shot multiple times near South Sixth Street and Princeton Avenue. Despite being rushed to St. John's Hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after midnight on February 26, 2021. An autopsy confirmed that he died from multiple gunshot wounds.
