Dashawn Norman, a 25-year-old African American male, was found unresponsive in the backyard of a residence in the Brainerd neighborhood of Chicago, IL, on April 4, 2021. He had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. in the 9300 block of South Throop Street.
