Joshua Perkins, a 34-year-old African American man from Peoria, Illinois, tragically lost his life on May 9, 2021, in a fatal shooting at a gas station. The incident occurred at the MacArthur Shell gas station, located at 200 N. MacArthur Highway, around 11:30 p.m. Perkins was sitting in his vehicle at a gas pump when Arenza Brown, a 20-year-old man from Peoria, approached him.
