Leonardo Lee, a 16-year-old boy from Chicago, Illinois, tragically lost his life on May 18, 2021. Leonardo, who was affectionately known as "Leo," was a junior at Washington High School. He was a caring and loving boy with a pure and genuine heart. Leonardo enjoyed playing sports, particularly basketball and football, and he also loved camping and playing video games. His pride and joy was his dog, Mamba.
Leonardo is survived by his parents, Cynthia and Anton, his siblings, and his grandparents.
On the early morning of May 18, 2021, Leonardo was found unresponsive on the front porch of a home in the 3300 block of East 109th Street in the East Side neighborhood of Chicago. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the torso. Despite being rushed to Trinity Hospital, Leonardo was pronounced dead. A witness reported seeing a black car leaving the scene immediately after the shooting. As of now, no arrests have been made, and no suspects are in custody.
