Eddy Brooks, a 16-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 6, 2016, in Chicago, Illinois. On that fateful morning, Eddy and a 17-year-old friend were sitting on the porch of a house in West Humboldt Park, a neighborhood known for its struggles with crime and violence.
