Maximus "Max" Solomon Lewis, a 20-year-old male student from the University of Chicago, tragically died on July 1, 2021, after being struck by a stray bullet while riding a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Green Line train. Max, who was of Jewish descent, was commuting home from his summer internship in downtown Chicago when the incident occurred.
