Chrys Carvajal, a 19-year-old male of Hispanic descent, was a member of the Army National Guard who tragically lost his life on July 3, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. Carvajal had recently completed his basic training and was back home in Chicago, awaiting assignment to a permanent unit.
