Damarion L. Benson, a 15-year-old African American boy, was tragically killed on July 21, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the North Lawndale neighborhood, where Damarion was among ten people shot in two separate but nearby shootings that evening. The shootings took place within minutes of each other, with Damarion being shot in the head at the corner of Douglas Boulevard and Christiana Avenue. He was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital.
