Jerome Jenkins, a 35-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on August 1, 2021, in the West Pullman neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred after Jenkins went outside to investigate a brick that had been thrown through his window. As he stepped outside, gunfire erupted, and he was struck multiple times. He was subsequently taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead.
