Born in Chicago and raised in Matteson, he had been a resident of Lockport for 26 years. Labus was employed as the Chief Technology Officer for Epay Systems and Prism HR. He was also an amateur bodybuilder and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Labus is survived by his wife, Shannon, and their three children, Zack, Evy, and Brenna.
