Deshawn Reed, a 24-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on September 23, 2021, in the Jeffery Manor neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. Reed was in the 9800 block of South Chappel Avenue around 8 p.m. when an unknown assailant opened fire, striking him multiple times.
