Demarius Burnside, a 28-year-old African American male from Peoria, Illinois, was tragically killed on November 6, 2021, in Springfield, Illinois. The incident occurred on the 1600 block of East Morgan Street, where Burnside was shot multiple times. Emergency services responded to the scene at approximately 8:27 p.m., and Burnside was transported to St. John's Hospital.
