Nakia D'Angelo Jones, a 45-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on November 19, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the West Englewood neighborhood, specifically in the 7100 block of South Seeley Avenue. Nakia was found with gunshot wounds to his head and chest inside a vehicle around 9:30 p.m. He was immediately transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead.

On the same night, another man, aged 35, was found inside a nearby home with a gunshot wound to his hip. He was taken to the same hospital and was reported to be in good condition. The police have not released the identity of this second victim. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation by Area One detectives.
