In the spring of 2009, a young Black woman named Kara Lawson, aged 23, was fatally shot in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident that claimed her life occurred on the evening of March 23rd, specifically at 8:35 p.m., in the 500 block of North Ellwood Avenue. Following the shooting, Lawson was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
