Robert Washington Jr., a 26-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 14, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred at a Marathon gas station located in the 5300 block of West Chicago Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood. Around 4:30 p.m., Robert Washington Jr. was shot in the back while at the gas station. He was immediately transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
