On June 22, 2009, Abdul Choudhry, the owner of a Shell Station located at 2513 North Salisbury Boulevard in Salisbury, Maryland, was fatally shot during an armed robbery. The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. when two suspects entered the store and demanded money at gunpoint. Abdul Choudhry, 51 years old at the time, attempted to resist the assailants, resulting in one of the suspects shooting him multiple times.
