On May 10, 2022, Edwardo Jimenez, a 19-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically killed in a mass shooting in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. near the 4800 block of South Ada Street, where Jimenez and four other teens were standing outside when gunmen approached in a stolen red Mazda and opened fire.
