Kejuan Jones, a 30-year-old African American man, was fatally shot on July 21, 2022, in the North Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 11:35 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Independence Boulevard. Kejuan was walking home when he was struck by gunfire. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Kejuan was known to be a caring individual who loved music and left behind two daughters.
