Kristin Carr, a 41-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on November 25, 2022, in Chicago, IL. Kristin was walking with her 14-year-old son, Dante, through a vacant lot in the Jeffery Manor neighborhood when they were approached by a black SUV. The occupants of the vehicle opened fire, striking Kristin in the hip and her son in the shoulder. Despite being rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center, Kristin succumbed to her injuries.
