Willie Donald Cameron, a 39-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 6, 1987, in Atlanta, Georgia. At the time of his death, Cameron was serving as a sergeant with the Atlanta Police Department and was moonlighting as a security guard at a department store in West End Mall. The incident occurred when Cameron asked a man to leave the store. In response, the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot Cameron in the face, resulting in his immediate death.
