Dougherty County Police Lieutenant Clifford “Cliff” Rouse, a 39-year-old male, was an 18-year veteran of law enforcement. His life was tragically cut short on the night of December 23, 2010, while responding to an armed robbery at a Pitt Stop convenience store in East Albany. While canvassing the area for the suspect, Lt. Rouse identified a man who matched the description given by the store's employee.
