Maria Nunez McDaniel, a 29-year-old woman from Acworth, GA, tragically lost her life on March 24, 2014. Maria, who was of Dominican descent, was fatally shot by her husband, Robert Steven McDaniel, at Julia’s Hair Salon in the Crossroads Shopping Center in Dallas, GA. The incident occurred around noon when Robert entered the salon and fired several rounds, killing Maria on the spot. The couple had been married, and Maria's death was a result of domestic violence.
