On March 16, 2021, Xiaojie Tan, 49, was tragically killed in a shooting at Young's Asian Massage in Acworth, Georgia. Tan, the owner of the spa, was among four individuals who lost their lives in this attack; the others were Daoyou Feng, 44; Delaina Ashley Yaun, 33; and Paul Andre Michels, 54. A fifth individual, Elcias Hernandez-Ortiz, sustained severe injuries but survived.
