Michael Andrew Norris, a 24-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on September 13, 2014, in Bolingbroke, Georgia. Deputy Norris was responding to a call about an armed suicidal man at a residence on Haley Lane in Juliette, Georgia. Upon arrival, the suspect opened fire, wounding both Deputy Norris and his partner, Deputy Jeff Wilson. Deputy Norris was critically injured and succumbed to his injuries on September 14, 2014, after being kept on life support for organ donation purposes.
