On a Sunday morning, May 31, 2015, a heart-wrenching scene unfolded in the parking lot of the Whitfield County 911 Center in Dalton, Georgia, leading to the death of 38-year-old Tifiney Necole Arp, a Caucasian female. A 911 dispatcher for neighboring Murray County, she had driven her pickup truck to her husband's workplace, who was also a 911 dispatcher, to discuss their pending divorce.
While seated in the driver's side of her vehicle during the conversation with her husband, Jeffrey
Russell Arp, the situation took a tragic turn. Tifiney produced a handgun and inflicted a fatal gunshot wound to her own head. Emergency medical services were quick to respond to the scene, but her injuries were too severe, and she was pronounced dead.
The Dalton Police Department launched an investigation into the incident. Following a thorough examination of the evidence and circumstances, they officially classified her death as a suicide. Investigators found no signs of foul play or any indication that another person was involved in her death. Consequently, no arrests were made, and there were no suspects in the case. The investigation concluded that Tifiney Necole Arp's death was a result of self-inflicted actions.
