Prior to her disappearance in August 2022, Nya had been reported missing on other occasions. In May 2022, she was reported missing after leaving her home in Yorba Linda. She was also reported missing in March 2022, at which time she was described as an at-risk individual with medical conditions that could cause her to become disoriented. In another instance in April 2021, she was also reported missing from Yorba Linda. These prior incidents also led to public alerts and law enforcement involvement.
