John J. "JJ" Montgomery, a 31-year-old Black man from Rock Spring, GA, tragically lost his life on October 19, 2015. The incident occurred during a visit to a mobile home where Montgomery and two friends were visiting Nicole Carroll, the stepdaughter of Michael James Gobert. The situation escalated when a dispute arose, leading to Montgomery attempting to de-escalate the situation by convincing his friends to leave.
