In the winter of 2016, a young African American male named Quenterious Griner was killed in Sandersville, Georgia, the victim of a violent shootout that erupted from a drug deal laced with deception. The fatal incident, which took place on February 7 at Kaolin Park, was the tragic end to a chain of events set in motion earlier that day.
