Rakwon Reid, a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on March 2, 2016, in Lithonia, Georgia. Rakwon was a student at Stephenson High School and was known for his love of music and his aspirations to become a rapper. On the night of his death, DeKalb County police responded to a call at approximately 9:15 p.m. and found Rakwon lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his chest.
