In the quiet evening of March 2, 2016, the life of 17-year-old Rakwon Reid, an African American male, was tragically cut short in front of his own home in Lithonia, Georgia. A student at Stephenson High School, Rakwon was known for his love of music and his dreams of becoming a rapper. That night, at approximately 9:15 p.m., the sound of gunshots pierced the air on Shore Drive.
