In a quiet Norcross neighborhood, a day of youthful play ended in tragedy for 11-year-old Alan Martinez. A student at Summerour Middle School, the young boy was in the garage of his home with a 9-year-old friend when they came across a handgun. While handling the firearm, it discharged, inflicting a fatal wound upon Alan.
