Shawnta Lysheema Coleman, age 33, was fatally shot on April 7, 2011, in Bladensburg, Maryland. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 5600 block of Emerson Street. Shawnta, who was originally from Alexandria, Virginia, was found deceased behind an apartment complex. Next to her body, police discovered a child in a car seat; fortunately, the child was unharmed.
