In the summer of 2011, the life of a 15-year-old Caucasian male, Anthony J. Tarbert, was tragically cut short in his West Baltimore neighborhood. On the night of July 31st, the sound of multiple gunshots pierced the air, a chilling premonition for the Tarbert family. Richard Tarbert, Anthony's father, heard the shots and immediately felt a sense of dread when his son was the only one of his friends who didn't return home. This began a frantic, six-hour search that would end in heartbreak.
