Rodrell Matthews, a 34-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on July 9, 2018, at a home on Chupp Road in Lithonia, Georgia. His body was discovered by a fisherman, partially submerged in the South River. Matthews had been reported missing by his family on July 13, 2018, two days after he was last seen at the residence, which was known to be a hangout spot where people routinely smoked, drank, and carried weapons.
