In the late hours of a December evening in Lithonia, Georgia, a tragic event unfolded that cut short the life of 28-year-old Christopher Jamaal Barber. The footage showed a white SUV, possibly a Durango, arriving at the house. One man got out and engaged in a brief conversation with Barber. This man then departed, only to return shortly after with an armed accomplice. The two men proceeded to Barber's garage. Moments later, the video captured the two suspects fleeing from the home with Barber in pursuit. It was during this chase that a single gunshot echoed through the night.
Inside the house, Barber's mother, Amy Barnes, was startled by the sound of the gunshot followed by a desperate banging on the door. Rushing to see what was happening, she made a devastating discovery. Her son was lying on the ground outside, fighting for his life.
