Helen Rose Mitchell, a 48-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on January 24, 2019, in Rockmart, Georgia. The incident was part of a series of targeted shootings that left four people dead and one critically injured. Helen Rose Mitchell and 19-year-old Jaequnn Davis were found shot to death at a home on Williamson Street. Peerless Brown, a 24-year-old man, was also shot in the face at the same location and was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center in critical condition.
