In the early morning hours of January 8, 2012, Ramon Tyree Parrott, a 35-year-old Black male from Richmond, Virginia, was visiting relatives in Baltimore. At approximately 4 a.m., while inside a home located in the 4100 block of Mariban Court in the Brooklyn Park neighborhood, tragedy struck. Multiple gunshots were fired through the front window of the residence, striking Parrott in the face.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, and Parrott was rushed to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. At the time of the incident, Baltimore police had not determined a motive for the shooting and had not identified any suspects.
Parrott, who was remembered in his obituary as a devoted husband and loving father, was mourned by his family and friends in Richmond.
