Jayla King, a young African American woman, tragically lost her life on May 16, 2020, in Jonesboro, Georgia. The circumstances surrounding her death were both shocking and heartbreaking. On that fateful day, Jayla King was involved in a financial dispute with Zion Humphreys. The conflict escalated when Humphreys posted a threatening message on Instagram directed at King.
