In the small city of Camilla, Georgia, the life of 28-year-old Shelby Rhymes was tragically cut short on the night of Monday, March 8, 2021. The evening was shattered by a shooting that occurred in the 100 block of West Circle, a residential area that would become the scene of a homicide investigation.

Responding to a call about the shooting at approximately 10:26 p.m., officers from the Camilla Police Department arrived to find a female victim who had been shot. The woman was identified ...
